October's screening is a comedy film directed by Mel Brooks and co-written by Brooks and Gene Wilder. The story follows Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen"), a young American scientist who tries to distance himself from the notorious legacy of his grandfather, Victor Frankenstein. When Frederick inherits his family's estate in Transylvania, he travels there and discovers his grandfather's secret laboratory.
Intrigued by the experiments that created a living creature from dead body parts, Frederick decides to continue his grandfather's work. With the help of his loyal assistant Igor, the beautiful lab assistant Inga, and the mysterious housekeeper Frau Blücher, he succeeds in bringing a new creature to life. However, the experiment leads to a series of misunderstandings, escapes, and comic mishaps as the mother struggles to find acceptance.
